Just a few things I've been working on: hair bows,

Valentine's decorations and a turban headband.

It was my birthday a few weeks ago so I went to Tea & Sympathy for the first time. Loved it!

Isn't that teapot gorgeous?

Their decor was wonderful. And this is my new bag for spring <3

What I've been up to lately...
Crocheting!
I'm on my third cowl! The gray one is actually for my sister as a birthday gift.
Cowls are so easy to make and fast as well.
Halloween treats!

My accessories for my Halloween costume, a Victorian lady.

Me!

The Merchant House museum, a stop on our ghost tour my friend and I took on Halloween.
Day of The Dead skulls.

Now that Laduree opened a store in NYC, holidays are even more special!
Pictured is their Halloween box with raspberry, pistachio, and vanilla macarons.

My current project: a shawl to go with my Victorian themed Halloween costume.

Yesterday was one of those perfect autumn days so I went to the Cloisters museum
with my friend, Jessica. The museum is in a medieval castle that was created using
parts of castles from Europe. It's amazing!

The museum also has it's own medieval garden.

Last Sunday I went to the Sheep and Wool festival in Rhinebeck, New York.
I don't think I've ever seen so much yarn in my life!

With so many options, choosing yarn to buy was difficult.
In the end I went with these two gorgeous colors.

Pumpkins from the festival. Those are sheep on the center one!

It's been a while but I'm back and ready to post my crafting adventures! I guess I just needed the cool autumn weather to get my creative mojo back in gear. I'm still tweaking my new layout here and there but I thought I would post a hello. :) Above are some skulls I painted which were inspired by the Mexican holiday, Dia de los Muertos, (Day of the Dead).

almost spring but not quite

It's definitely that time of year when you look outside your window and see it's sunny, your instinct is to dress light because it's spring. However, once you're outside, you realize it still feels like winter and that you probably should have put on that scarf after all. Such was the case yesterday but I didn't let it ruin what turned out to be a very nice day.

I went to The Homefront, a store that sells vintage items (both real and inspired).
They were having a sale and I couldn't resist buying a few things!

I love blue and white patterns.

This is such a great book! It constantly inspires me to try new things.
This time I wanted to try to crochet an afghan similar to the one shown:

Lastly, I painted these mini flowerpots. I'm still not sure what I'm going to do with them yet!

what i've been up to today

Working on a new box which hopefully I'll finish soon!
My huge pile of yarn. There's so much of it but mostly from leftover projects.
I think I might have to make a quilt to use some of it up.
I love the colors in the bottom skein so much.
This photo doesn't do it justice but it looks like something out of a Monet painting.
My crochet hooks, not many but they get the job done.
There are also some buttons I'm working on in the top corner.
